I actually did enjoy this book. The issue I had with it was that it felt abruptly ended, and the build-up with the characters felt rushed to a close in the last third of the book. It is sci-fi though, and it features LGBT. The author is a Pakistani-American Muslim, so if anyone is looking for representation in writing, this is it.
Overall, I did think this was a nice debut and has a lot of potential. I will keep an eye out for her future work.
