I read this at my usual pace, which was an hour less than the last two took me. I'm immensely stressed thinking about the "kiss of death," so I guess that's why I read as fast as I did in comparison to the last two. This series is hurting me so much. I am physically in pain.

I have my favorite line below. This is a much stronger series than I imagined. Often times, quality does not make it far by the third novel. Maggie Stiefvater has experience though, and she sure damn shows it.

God, the subtext. The subtext!!

"Blue,” he warned, but his voice was chaotic. This close, his throat was scented with mint and wool sweater and vinyl car seat, and Gansey, just Gansey.

She said, “I just want to pretend. I want to pretend that I could."

The angst is killing me. You're killing me here, Stiefvater!
